When my friend Lindsey told me she got a new puppy, and she wanted some newborn photos, I was so excited!  And then I met Bentley and I realized that he was probably more excited than I was about the session… All that puppy energy was tough to keep up with, but we managed and I love the way they turned out.  Meet Bentley…the world’s cutest Great Dane puppy. :)

Here’s the full posting for Baby E. — the cute little chunker I got to hang out with last week at their family farm (it was so fun!  there was even a little combine ride action!) I love being able to come back and see how much a baby has changed from the last time we did a shoot.  And my mouth literally dropped open when I saw Baby E this session.  It probably doesn’t help matters that I’m kind of a sucker for those babies who have no wrists.  You know what I mean?  Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the next shoot with the little guy to see if I’m right and there is no possible way he can get any cuter.

Talk to you soon,
sara.

I had a fabulous session yesterday and when I saw this image, I knew I had to get it up right away. Look at this absolutely gorgeous, chubby little baby. He’s so cute, I could just eat him up!! I’ll have more from this session coming soon…

This gorgeous creature is my very own stepdaughter, Kayna. We did the shoots a while ago, and I’ve been sitting on them because, frankly, sometimes I’m a baby and this is hard. I had a million stories and thoughts that I considered posting, but I think I’m going to keep it simple. I just want to say : I love you, Kayna. I’ve loved you since the moment I met you and we shared hot cider. I loved your little girl giggle and the sumo wrestling/pillow fight nights. I loved playing Barbies (and playing and playing and playing) with you & emmy, and seeing you play with my old dolls. I loved watching your shows – the singing ones, the fashion ones, the puppets. And even when you were throwing one of those outrageous Kayna-tantrums, I loved your passion. Keep that fire in you always, girl. I’m so proud of you and all that you are doing in your life and the woman that you are becoming.

You. Are. Amazing.

I’m not going to clutter this posting up with words. You know what these are — a sampling of the story photos from the wedding day. The first picture is one of my favorites; she is Jennifer, Megan’s sister and Matron of Honor. We’re at the salon in Orvieto, and suddenly we realize that Italians think Americans like big hair… This was her reaction when she saw herself.

I’m going to do this wedding to two parts, because there is just so much I want to show you. So today’s highlight will be the bridal portraits.

You can’t imagine how happy I am to be posting these photos from Megan & Steve’s destination wedding in Italy. Megan and Steven ROCKED their photos, making my job such an easy one. The wedding was in the small ancient town of Orvieto, Italy — about an hour train ride from Rome. The old part of the town is built on top of a rock, with cobblestone streets and hand painted frescos. Old men sit in the piazzas and watch the pigeons. The espresso is amazing. The have a restaurant dug out of the side of the rock, which is where the wedding reception and dinner was held.

Megan and Steve spent months planning this wedding, and I was so excited every time that Megan came to me with all the planning decisions they were making — getting married in the Theatre or Grotto or cave (they choose the Theatre…perfect choice), menu A or menu B, invitation designs, the dresses — which was such a hard decision that she wore them both, another perfect choice.

All in all, this wedding couldn’t have been better. The couple was so beautiful, their friends are absolutely amazing, their family is fun & might good singers (yes, I’m talking about you Dylan & Mike!). This was the perfect first destination wedding for me, and I’m ready to do another. They are hard work, but TOTALLY worth it! Enjoy the photos — leave a comment and tell Megan & Steve how beautiful they are!

As you can imagine, after being gone from my own business for two weeks, I have a ton to catch up on. BUT, I couldn’t resist sifting through the AMAZING wedding photos of Megan & Steve from their Italian destination wedding to put one up. I will have a full blog post up soon, but until then, here’s a little peek.

I had such a great time hanging out with Matt & Erin for their engagement session. We told corny jokes (yours were MUCH better than mine, guys) and for the first time, I laughed so hard during a session that I had to stop shooting. If this is any indication of the kind of wedding that Matt and Erin are going to have next summer, it’s going to be a B-L-A-S-T!

It was a rainy, dreary sort of day, but Erin & Matt were totally willing to keep going and see how it went. Thanks for being flexible and so fun, you two! I can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos from the session — enjoy the sneak peek now until I get back. :)

As a side note, this nearly wraps up all I’m going to be able to get done before I head out to Italy tomorrow morning for Megan & Steve’s destination wedding. I’ll have some access to email while I’m gone, but if you need anything quickly — email Steven at steven@studiosevenphoto.com and he’ll take care of you until I get back!

CIAO everyone!!

I’ve known Tricia since we were in middle school. She is one of those friends that I know for sure I will know forever. We lost touched a couple of times in our lives, but somehow our lives come back together and our friendship continues and strengthens. It’s amazing to see the woman that she has become and to know her funny, sweet children. I had a fun time going on an adventure with them at Quarry Hill during our session, we got a little lost and walked through streams and I think almost stepped on a field mouse house, but it was worth it. I love the images!
